Wrinkle Treatment
Fine lines and wrinkles can be decreased with the use of the following products:
- Prevage contains an effective anti-oxidant that attacks free radicals that play an important role in producing wrinkles. This product should be used in the early morning.
- Avage is a potent method of managing wrinkles on the forehead, naso-labial folds, smile lines, crow’s feet and lines above the upper lip. Using this product results in moderate exfoliation of the surface skin causing a significant reduction of fine and medium sized lines.
- TNS skin fibroblasts applied in the evening are clinically effective in stimulating new youthful skin cells to form.
- A cream that claims to be an alternative to Botox is "Freeze 24-7" that relaxes wrinkles by weakening the muscles under the skin.
- A cream that contains DMAE, GABA, Alpha-lipoic acid, Green Tea Extract, skin fibroblasts is available by Anti-Aging Medicine Technologies that is effective in treating wrinkles.
- Microdermabrasion at the doctor’s office followed by a home microdermabrasion kit is an effective adjunct in reducing wrinkles.
- Intense Pulse Light also is effective in diminishing fine lines on the face.
The use of various chemical peels including glycolic acid, salicylic acid and retinoic acid are useful when done on a regular basis such as every month or two. The treatments result in a very smooth skin with marked reduction of wrinkles.
Botox is popular in reducing deep lines in between the eyebrows, crow’s feet and forehead. Within a few days the lines have often disappeared or been greatly reduced. This type of treatment has to be performed about every three months.
