Obesity: Weight Loss Program

Patients with obesity should have the following laboratory workup:

  1. Complete blood count
  2. Glucose
  3. HgA1C
  4. Lipid profile: cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL
  5. BUN, creatinine
  6. Fasting insulin
  7. Estradiol, Estrone, Estriol
  8. DHEA
  9. FSH
  10. Free Testosterone
  11. CA 125 (women)
  12. PSA (men)
  13. Fasting Insulin
  14. Thyroid tests T3, T4, TSH, Thyroid antibodies(microsomal and anti-thryroglobulin)

Weight Loss Program:

First three months the use of the Fat Flush Plan with fat flush foods will enable the patient to lose a significant amount of weight when combined with a exercise program that is done at least four times a week. This exercise can consist of swimming, brisk walking, biking, hiking and competitive sports such as tennis.

Eat a large breakfast. Snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon to avoid craving and overeating for lunch and dinner. Pay attention to calories, sugar and fat content at meal time. Avoid eating anything after 7 PM as this will result in excess fat storage.

Natural weight loss products should be integrated at any time. These include:

  1. Fiber. Psyllium seed, guar and pectin- do not take these when you take CLA). 4 grams per day.Eat lots of oat bran, carrots, apples, green leafy vegetables.
  2. GLA(gamma linolenic acid) /DHA docosahexaenoic acid) (essential fatty acids). 4 capsules per day.
  3. Magnesium, Zinc. Chromium 600-1000mcg) daily
  4. Guarana herb induces fat loss.
  5. CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) 1000 mg.
  6. Use Stevia when looking for a sweetener.
  7. Drink 8 glasses of water per day.
  8. Avoid red meat. Eat lots of wild Alaska Salmon and other fish with omega 3 oils- essential fatty acids. Turkey and chicken should be skinless.
  9. Some patients may have hidden hypothyroidism and need to take Thyroid Extract (made by Armour.)
